Blue Tomato leases 400 sq. m. at Venestraat, The Hague

Skate, Surf & Streetwear shop Blue Tomato has agreed a long-term lease for over 400 sq. m. at Venestraat 50 in The Hague with CBRE Global Investors. The negotiations took place during the coronavirus pandemic, but that did not stop Blue Tomato from going forward with their expansion plans and opening their third retail outlet in the Netherlands.

Venestraat is located in The Hague’s central shopping district, near Spuistraat, Grote Marktstraat and Passage. The building is fully renovated and Blue Tomato will be completing the interior and designing the layout of the retail outlet to suit their needs. The retail outlet is expected to open in Q4 2020.

Skate, Surf and Streetwear

Blue Tomato mainly sells on-trend articles and shoes for outdoor sports such as skiing, snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding. The brand has been around for approximately 30 years and is one of the biggest online vendors of items related to these sports. The retail outlet in The Hague is the third in the Netherlands, following outlets in Amsterdam and Utrecht.

Venestraat 50 is part of the CBRE Dutch Retail Fund, a non-listed real estate investment fund managed by CBRE Global Investors. In this transaction, Blue Tomato was advised by Kroese Paternotte. Landlord CBRE Global Investors was advised by CBRE Retail Agency.
