Construction of new development Hoge Regentesse in The Hague

HD Groep and Van Wijnen have started construction on the new Hoge Regentesse development on the south side of the centre of The Hague. This striking solitary residential tower will stand approximately 70 metres tall and will be a formidable eye-catcher on the south side of The Hague’s city centre. The ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund has purchased all 128 apartments. In addition to the residential tower, a 3.000 sq. m. independent commercial space will be constructed.

HD Groep and Van Wijnen are responsible for the development, design and construction of Hoge Regentesse. The project consists of 128 apartments, an above-ground car park and a 3,000 sq.m. independent commercial space. The residential building with 23 floors will be approximately 70 metres high and will be equipped with a sustainable thermal energy storage facility. The rent for the apartments will be in the mid-price range, for which there is a great need in The Hague at present. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The Hague is a fast-growing city with a growing demand for rental apartments in the mid-price range. The Hoge Regentesse apartments meet this demand. It is also a great opportunity for us to expand our The Hague portfolio.
Robbert van Dijk, Fund Director for ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund

CBRE advised development consortium HD Groep and Van Wijnen on how to optimise the residential programme and has supervised the sale of the residential tower. Sustainable development and construction was another requirement for the design of this project. The approximately 3,000 sq.m. commercial space is still available for lease or sale.

Location
Hoge Regentesse is centrally located on the south side of The Hague’s city centre, at the intersection of Monstersestraat and Loosduinsekade. The residential tower will be a landmark for the important intersection of the north-south connection to the city centre and the important east-west connection from The Hague HS to Scheveningen (tram line 11).
