Coop opens supermarket in Rotterdam centre

Stichting Woonbron has signed a long-term lease with supermarket chain Coop for retail accommodation at Binnenrotte 77 in Rotterdam. After a short period of refurbishment, Coop will open its doors on 27 November 2017. The store covers a total area of 800 sq. m. on the ground floor and 320 sq. m. in the basement. De Binnenrotte is located at the heart of Rotterdam, close to the popular de Meent shopping street. 

Coop is a cooperative supermarket organisation that operates in the Netherlands and aims to offer its members the best possible service. After the opening of this new store, Coop will have 262 supermarkets nationwide. In 2016, Coop’s consumer turnover was approximately € 1,118 billion.
