Cromwell Property Group lets office space in The Bastion to BTL Advies B.V.

Architects and engineering firm BTL Advies B.V. has agreed a long-term contract with Cromwell Property Group for the lease of approximately 950 sq. m of office accommodation in The Bastion building in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

Located in the well-known Willemsplein, The Bastion is one of the largest office buildings in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Its name is a reference both to the size of the building and its location relative to the historic fortified wall that encircles the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The Bastion has an energy label A and covers a total of approximately 30,000 sq. m. of office accommodation.

Built in 1951, it was fully modernized in 2006 based on a design by Pi de Bruijn. Its characteristic features include large windows and vaulted towers. It has a favourable location opposite the city’s Palace Quarter, within walking distance of the central station and the city centre.

BTL Advies chose The Bastion because of its strategic position in the city and its proximity to the HAS Agricultural College, a source of young talent. Many of the people working for BTL graduated from the HAS.

CBRE advised the landlord, Cromwell Property Group, in this transaction, working closely with estate agents HRS Makelaars. Cromwell Property Group manages real estate worth€975 million in the Benelux, spread across 11 mandates. The portfolio comprises a total of 642,660 sq. m. of lettable floorspace in 67 buildings that accommodate 549 tenants.
