Delin Capital Asset Management develops new distribution centre in Roosendaal

The British developer Delin Capital Asset Management (DCAM) is developing a new, European e-commerce distribution centre in Roosendaal for retailer Lidl. The 60,000 m² distribution centre, which is expected to be finished in 2018, will provide 1,200 new jobs. It will be situated on Wagonstraat on Borchwerf II business park.

This location was chosen because of the relatively large amount of skilled workers in Roosendaal. The developers therefore focussed on creating a pleasant, high-quality workplace for employees when designing the centre. This is evident in the large number of windows, the relatively enormous canteen, the outdoor space where employees can sit during the day, and the break rooms and offices that are close to the workspace so that employees can interact with one another.
Several EMEA distribution centres are located on Borchwerf II business park due to its central location in Western Europe and its good connection to the main ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. The business park is also a great operational base for many small and medium-sized enterprises.

CBRE worked closely with Cushman & Wakefield to advise the landlord in this transaction.
