Hudson's Bay to open distribution center in The Netherlands

HBC announces lease agreement with HB Capital for distribution center in Mijdrecht

Hudson’s Bay Company today announced the signing of a lease agreement with HB Capital for a distribution center in the Netherlands. Strategically located in Mijdrecht between the four largest cities in the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht), the distribution center is expected to manage all logistics activities for Hudson’s Bay in the Netherlands. The logistics center is approximately 55,000 m2 (592,020 ft2), including office space, warehouse space and associated parking spaces.

As Hudson’s Bay prepares to open its first ten department stores in the Netherlands in the third quarter of this year, the Mijdrecht facility is expected to begin to receive inventory for both the stores and e-commerce fulfillment, beginning in May.

CBRE acted on behalf of HB Capital during this transaction.
