Regus signs lease for 4,000 sq. m. in CitySide-Rivierstaete Amsterdam
Regus, a global provider of workplaces, is opening a new location in CitySide-Rivierstaete. The company has concluded a long-term agreement with Vastint Netherlands for the lease of 4,000 sq. m. of office space in the impressive, recently renovated building on Trompenburgstraat in Amsterdam. Although this new branch has yet to open its doors, Regus has already leased 50% of the space to a tech company. The lease marks Regus’s 21st location in the Dutch capital. This most recent addition to their network will open on 1 December.
Regus is leasing the first and second floors of CitySide-Rivierstaete. The property is ideally located on the banks of the River Amstel, within walking distance of Amsterdam Amstel railway and metro station and a five-minute drive from the A10 and A2 motorways. The complex of approximately 30,000 sq. m. has been completely renovated to become a new creative hot spot in the heart of Amsterdam. The building stands on a unique historic location: at the beginning of the 20th century, it was the site of the Spyker automobile factory.
MVSA Architects created the new design. The transparent glass façade gives the building an open and accessible feel, with lots of daylight and impressive views over the city from the complex’s many rooftop terraces. This connection between inside and outside contributes to a healthy work climate.
Now, the large-scale renovation is almost complete, and the building has been ready for use since 1 November. After MessageBird, Regus is the second tenant to take up residence.
