Zinzane of Brazil opens first European shop in Amsterdam's Kalverstraat

The Brazilian label Zinzane has opened its first shop in Europe, in Amsterdam’s Kalverstraat. Building on its successes in its home market of Brazil, where the brand has nearly 100 shops, the Amsterdam location will serve as a pilot for future expansion in Europe.

A.S.R. REIM signed a temporary contract on behalf of the ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund for approximately 85 sq.m. of retail space on the ground floor, 80 sq.m. on the first floor and about 65 sq.m. in the basement of the 55 Kalverstraat location. Engelvast Retail Property Advice represented the landlord, and CBRE represented Zinzane.

The Zinzane ‘fast fashion label’ had its origins in 2002 in Rio de Janeiro’s charming and popular Babilônia Feira Hype. Brazilian women went gaga for the label’s many colourful prints, and the number of shops quickly grew to nearly one hundred. Zinzane has recently added men’s wear and a line for kids.
