Beleggingsconsortium Sloterdijk sells La Guardia Plaza

Beleggingsconsortium Sloterdijk C.V. has agreed with an investment partnership operated by MPC Capital on the sale of La Guardia Plaza in Amsterdam (La Guardiaweg).

The office complex comprises four buildings (A, B, C and D) totaling approximately 60,000 sq m of office space, with an extensive parking garage underneath the buildings.

Buildings C & D are fully let to Employee Insurance Agency UWV, an autonomous administrative authority that is commissioned by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment to implement employee insurances and provide labour market and data services.

La Guardia was developed in 2002 and designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merril. It is located in Amsterdam Teleport, next to train station Sloterdijk which plays an important role as transport hub for commuters coming to Amsterdam from surrounding provinces. The construction of the second Coentunnel and the new motorway Westrandweg (A5) are improving the flow of traffic between the northern cities and the western port area of Amsterdam.
The Sloterdijk area is currently being redeveloped into a modern multi-use area, in which office, residential and hotel functions will be fully integrated. Roughly 2,200 companies are located in this area, providing some 10% of employment of Amsterdam.

Loyens & Loeff, PWC and Search represented the purchaser during the sale process. CBRE assisted the seller during the sales process as commercial and technical advisor and Houthoff Buruma as legal advisor.
