CBRE appoints Markus Beike to EMEA Hotels Management team

Global real estate advisor CBRE announces that it has appointed Markus Beike to join its rapidly expanding Hotels team as Managing Director, Northern and Eastern Europe.

This newly created role will see Markus become part of the division’s EMEA Management Team and further Hotels’ reach throughout the regions, responding to client needs as foreign capital diversifies outside of the key gateway cities in Europe. Focussing on Central & Eastern Europe (including Austria), the Netherlands, Nordics and Germany, Markus will work alongside our existing Heads of Country, Olivia Kaussen (Germany & CEE) and Jan Steinebach (The Netherlands) to capitalise on his specialist regional knowledge and increased client demand.

Markus joins CBRE from over a decade with Christie + Co where he served as Managing Director for Germany, Austria & CEE. As well as his role of developing the brand across these regions he advised clients on a number of key cross border transactions over recent years.

Commenting Guy Hollis, Head of Markets Development EMEA and MD of the Nordics, CBRE EMEA said; Foreign investment into Northern & Eastern Europe has nearly doubled to over €905m in two years; our investment to expand our reach across the region recognises the impact and importance of having local market experts available to support international clients. Markus has an excellent track record of building highly successful teams and we are delighted to welcome him and Armin to CBRE. These appointments are part of an ongoing investment programme, reinforcing our ambition to provide clients with the most experienced team in the marketplace.”

CBRE Hotels consists of over 100 hospitality-specific professionals located in 12 offices across EMEA. The team has expanded significantly over the past 18 months via numerous strategic hires, including industry experts Robert Chess, Senior Director of UK Valuations, and Rob Seabrook, Head of UK Capital Markets.
