CBRE expands Industrial & Logistics-team

CBRE has expanded its Industrial & Logistics team with the addition of Duco Burghout (26), Daphne Groot Hemmink (38) and Koen de Jong (25). Over the last year, Burghout has already been active within CBRE as a research intern. He recently graduated from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, obtaining a Master’s degree in Urban, Port and Transport Economics.

Burghout wrote his thesis on the subject of last-mile delivery, a topical issue in the logistics sector. The main focus of his research was the question of whether and when it is sensible to outsource e-commerce. A report examining the results of the thesis in greater detail will be published soon. Burghout has been appointed to the position of consultant.

Koen de Jong recently completed his MSc in Facility & Real Estate Management at the University of Greenwich. During his Master’s programme he gained work experience at Urban Industrial. As a consultant at CBRE, he will focus primarily on advising clients who wish to buy or sell logistics and industrial real estate.

As team assistant, Daphne Groot Hemmink’s main focus will be on providing organisational and financial/administrative support to the team that advises the industrial and logistics sector on business accommodation. Over recent years, Groot Hemmink has worked as an office manager at various organisations, including SMAAK Retail and Aedes Real Estate.
