CBRE expands midcap capital markets team

International real estate services firm CBRE plans to expand its Midcap team from two to four specialists. The new additions to the Midcap team, which currently consists of Roy Erkelens and Diederick Vrijenhoek, are Ellen Coule and Arjan Kooman. The expansion is the result of a strong growth of Midcap services at CBRE. Midcap focuses on investments in the mid-price range of the commercial real estate market up to approximately €13 million.

Ellen Coule joined us on the 1st of January as a Capital Markets Consultant. Ellen previously worked as a Transaction Manager within CBRE’s Occupier business. In this position, she was responsible for managing national transactions for corporate end users such as ABN AMRO Bank, Rabobank and PostNL Real Estate. Before joining CBRE, Ms Coule worked as a junior civil-law notary with a specialisation in real estate law.

Arjan Kooman will join the team on 1 February. Arjan will focus primarily on Midcap activities in the Rotterdam and The Hague regions. Arjan has 12 years of work experience in the real estate sector and worked as a Director in CBRE’s Occupier business before joining Midcap. In early 2017, he rejoined CBRE Netherlands after working for CBRE Singapore. During his time there, Arjan was the Global Account Director for the Standard Chartered Bank for Transaction Management, Asset Management and Lease Administration.

Roy Erkelens, Director Capital Markets
We are thrilled that Ellen and Arjan have decided to join us. Since early 2016, when we started to focus on Midcap, our service has grown rapidly and we have been able to build up a wonderful portfolio of customers. Midcap is a market niche deserving of special expertise and experience. Our team works closely with CBRE's other disciplines, which allows us to offer our clients comprehensive advice. Ellen and Arjan already have a great deal of specialist knowledge and experience in this market. We are looking forward to expanding our business and services with their help.
