Dept expands in Central Post

Dept has decided to expand its lease for office space in the Central Post building in the heart of the Rotterdam Central Business District. The digital agency founded 20 years ago has witnessed an organic growth leading to the expansion of the lease for an additional 1,000 sq. m. located on the twelfth floor and 9 additional parking spaces at Delftseplein.

As of March 2020, Dept will be leasing a total of over 4,200 sq. m. of office space as well as 40 parking spaces. The Central Post office building is fully let, making it one of the top functioning office buildings in the Rotterdam Business District. Dept states that the main reasons for choosing Central Post again are the historical characteristics of the building and the great location next to Rotterdam Central Station.

Central Post is one of the most iconic buildings in the city dating back to Rotterdam’s post-World War II period of reconstruction. The building was constructed in the 1950s and in the past served as a mail sorting centre. It underwent thorough renovations from 2007 to 2009 and was redeveloped into a modern office building with excellent parking facilities.

Dept was advised in this lease transaction by P van den Bosch Bedrijfsmakelaars B.V., and the owner of Central Post I B.V. was assisted by the Rotterdam offices of CBRE. B.V.
