Focus Real Estate and NorthWest Healthcare Properties to jointly develop clinic in Arnhem

Focus Real Estate (Focus) and NorthWest Healthcare Properties (NorthWest) will work in partnership to transform an office building at Meester E.N. van Kleffensstraat 14 in Arnhem into a specialised, high-end clinic. The complex will house a new Bergman Clinics orthopaedic centre. The clinic is expected to open in mid-2021.

The office building is located in the Geldersepoort office complex, on the 'healthcare boulevard' where various healthcare-related organisations are situated. The transformation will see the construction of operating theatres, the refurbishment of the outer shell of the complex and a sizeable increase in floorspace in the current building.

Focus and NorthWest have been working in partnership to build a healthcare real estate portfolio in the Netherlands since 2018. The parties set out on this cooperative venture with Focus’s clinic portfolio as their foundation, including locations in Hilversum and Rotterdam. The parties recently purchased an office building in Den Bosch which they also plan to transform into a clinic. ”We are very pleased with our partnership with NorthWest," says Focus Real Estate owner Freek Boeijen.
