Lululemon opens flagship store on Leidsestraat in Amsterdam
Innovative sportswear brand Lululemon opens a flagship store at Leidsestraat 34 in Amsterdam. The brand leases approximately 670 square meters, of which 500 square meters retail space. The space covers the ground and first floor. After renovation and furnishing according to its own concept, Lululemon will move in one of the larger retail premises on Leidsestraat. The stylish building is on the street’s stretch with mainly premium retailers.
Lululemon athletica Inc. is a multinational sportswear retailer headquartered in Canada, founded by Chip Wilson in Vancouver in 1998. There are currently 600 Lululemon stores worldwide, including over 40 in Europe.
Lululemon has set the bar high in fabric innovation and functional design. They are best known for their sports leggings, which first popularized the brand.
CBRE acted as advisor to Lululemon in this transaction. The departing tenant was represented by The McDevitt Company.
