Marc van Tilburg (41) has taken up his position as Research & Consulting Director at property advisor CBRE, at its Dutch headquarters in Amsterdam. He will lead a team of four whose tasks include researching the trends and developments in the property market. This concerns the following sectors: offices, retail, logistics, hotels, residential property and healthcare property. Van Tilburg follows in the footsteps of Machiel Wolters, who will be responsible for EMEA Industrial & Logistics Research from 1 April.

Marc van Tilburg was employed in various roles at Ahold over the past eight years. As a Senior Consultant for Location Strategy he was responsible, for example, for the location strategy of the Albert Heijn supermarket chain in Belgium and the coordination of the multi-annual strategy for the store network of the Ahold formulas.

Before he joined Ahold, he worked as an Advisor for Spatial-Economic Development at the Chamber of Commerce in South Limburg. After studying Economics at Maastricht University, Van Tilburg started his career as the owner of Small Business Marketing, a strategic marketing consultancy firm focusing on SMEs.
