Q42 leases office space in Binckhorst, The Hague

Apollo 14

Q42 Internet has entered into a long-term lease agreement with Borghese Real Estate and COD for 2,200 sq.m. of office space in the Apollo 14 building in the Binckhorst district of The Hague. Apollo 14 is part of the Maanplein complex and is located at Saturnusstraat 14 in a desirable urban location.

Q42, an internet company with offices in The Hague and Amsterdam, specializes in building apps, websites and connected devices. Q42’s highly trained staff also share their expertise with IT companies and other hi-tech organizations, and invest in the technology sector. The up-and-coming residential and business district of Binckhorst offers Q42 a creative and charismatic setting, and enables the company to reap the rewards of The Hague’s initiatives for the building and the area.

Creative environment

A wealth of creative companies have already established a base in Binckhorst, including the former Caballero Factory in Binckhorsthaven, which is home to a collection of businesses. The Hague city authorities have leased office space in the Apollo 14 office building, alongside Q42. The city has earmarked this space for enterprises defined as Impact Economy businesses: these are innovative and creative companies with a focus on sustainability, the circular economy and/or social significance.

De Binckhorst

The development of De Binckhorst is in full swing. This former industrial estate is well on its way to becoming an urban area, rich in water features and offering an attractive environment in which to work and live. The three harbour areas in De Binckhorst will play an important role in this regard. Along the banks of the Trekvliet, there will be space for 750 to 1000 homes (primarily apartments) designed for a range of potential residents.

De Binckhorst is located on the outskirts of The Hague, less than two kilometres from the city centre. The construction of two major transport routes, the Rotterdamsebaan and the redeveloped Binckhorstlaan, ensures excellent access.

CBRE provided expert advice to Q42 on this transaction. Nadorp Makelaars and BNP Paribas advised Borghese Real Estate and COD.
