Syntrus Achmea sells Buitenmere shopping centre in Almere Buiten

Acting on behalf of the Achmea Dutch Retail Property Fund (ADRPF), Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance has sold the Buitenmere shopping centre in Almere Buiten to Dreef Beheer. The shopping centre covers approximately 18,000 sq. m. spread across 51 units and has tenants that include Albert Heijn, Lidl and Hema.

Buitenmere is part of the centre of Almere Buiten city district. The shopping centre specialises in fresh produce and is located directly alongside Almere Buiten station. The sale is part of the retail fund’s restructuring, which will focus on smaller convenience centres and the best city centres.

At the end of 2019, the ADRPF was worth EUR 700 million, with an occupancy level of over 97 percent. The fund aims to outperform the MSCI retail benchmark on a long-term basis. In the GRESB benchmark, the fund achieved a five-star rating in 2019.
