Tesla Motors to establish European Distribution Center in Tilburg

Tesla Motors has selected Tilburg for the establishment of its European Distribution Center in Europe.

Tesla, the world leader in the design and production of electric vehicles, has signed a new long term lease agreement with Syntrus Achmea Real Estate Finance. The lease concerns approximately 18,930 sq m of warehouse space and adjacent office space in Tilburg (Atlasstraat 7-9). The Tesla Distribution Center is scheduled to begin its operations mid December 2012.

Tesla’s decision to locate the Megacentre in Tilburg is the result of two years of close co-operation between the company, Brabant Development Agency (BOM), NFIA (Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency) and the City of Tilburg, as well as CBRE Group (tenant representation) and DTZ Zadelhoff (representing real estate owner Syntrus Achmea REF).
The establishment of the facility represents a key milestone in the company’s European and international growth plans. Its central location will effectively enable functions key for the sales and servicing of Tesla products throughout Europe. It will also serve as the European vehicle service and parts headquarters, as well as a final assembly point for the company’s award winning Model S vehicles sold in Europe.
