The opening of ‘The CORE’ represents a new beginning for CBRE
New, innovative office facilitates design of future working environments
CBRE, the international real estate advisor, will open a new office in early 2019, applying the latest trends in real estate as well as scientific insights to the fields of working together, health, technology and sustainability. In a fifty-year-old former garage building CBRE will put innovation into practice and, together with clients, work on creating the working environments of the future. CBRE has opted for a redevelopment in the Schinkelbuurt in Amsterdam for its new office.
New ways of working
CBRE will work with its customers and employees in new ways in The CORE. The real estate advisor believes that close and frequent cooperation with customers and partners will be one of the most important trends in the way we work in the future. The CORE will include a Client Lab and new approaches to work such as a 'Creative Camp’. These innovations will help CBRE to answer the real estate questions of the future and to work with its clients even more quickly and responsively. The CORE will also include other zones, such as the Workshop, the Focus zone and the Café. The internal design of the new office will promote and facilitate collaboration and give entrepreneurship the space it needs.
Major innovations in real estate - all in one building
CBRE is designing The CORE to incorporate the latest insights in the areas of health, technology and sustainability. It is applying new insights about the healthy workplace, generated through its research into Healthy Offices conducted in partnership with the University of Twente. CBRE is also determined to achieve the highest possible WELL certification*. In terms of technology, CBRE will implement the latest SMART applications. And when it comes to sustainability, it intends to achieve the ‘Gold’ level of LEED certification*.
The way we work is changing, and the needs and preferences of office users are changing too. At The CORE we will be facilitating the design of future working environments. Innovation on this scale is unique. By bringing together all these innovations in one building in this way, we aim to inspire others to look at real estate and office facilities in a new light. Redevelopment in De Schinkel
CBRE has chosen an up-and-coming area of Amsterdam as the location for The CORE. By choosing to convert a former garage building into its new office, CBRE is demonstrating the local potential for redevelopment in Amsterdam’s Schinkelbuurt and, at the same time, it is making a tangible contribution to that development.
CBRE’s location on Gustav Mahlerlaan in Amsterdam’s Zuidas will be retained. CBRE also has offices in The Hague, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Zwolle.
CBRE will lease the new location from Caransa Group B.V. on a long-term basis, with both parties sharing responsibility for the redevelopment.
