The Student Hotel is to accelerate its international expansion

The Student Hotel (TSH), APG, Aermont Capital, Charlie MacGregor and GIC have reached an agreement under which GIC and APG will receive a substantial stake in TSH. This will back TSH’s growth plans to key European cities and the expansion to 50 hotels. TSH currently owns 25 hotels, 15 of which are operational and a further three due to open this year, in Madrid, Barcelona and Toulouse.

CBRE conducted technical due diligence (TDD) and environmental due diligence (EDD) as part of the transaction for TSH across the portfolio with hotels in Amsterdam, Delft, Eindhoven, Groningen, Maastricht, Rotterdam and The Hague. The TDD and EDD of locations in other European countries was conducted by CBRE as well from its local offices.

Arnaud Leblanc, Head of Asset Management at The Student Hotel said, "In a transaction like this, the TDD is an essential part of the process, crucial even. By executing the technical and environmental survey at all our European locations, our advisory partner CBRE has played a key role in the success of this transaction and is contributing to our growth."
