Wolters Kluwer extends its lease in Alphen aan den Rijn

Wolters Kluwer has signed a long-term extension of the lease for its headquarters at Zuidpoolsingel 2-4 in Alphen aan den Rijn. The information service provider now rents about 7,500 sq m of office space along with a car park, an approximate 50% decrease compared to the space previously rented. As such, the office building will now be adapted to facilitate multi-tenant leasing. The lessor is Dutch Property Company Vermeer.

The reduced space and new accommodation preferences of Wolters Kluwer created the need for a new building layout. CBRE advised Wolters Kluwer on the design of its new workplace concept and translated this vision into a customised interior design. As Wolters Kluwer remarked, “Sustainability and efficiency were important to us in both the transaction and the interior design. As such, we sought to develop a new and more flexible design with sustainable solutions, such as reuse of wall sections and furniture. In addition, the office space acquired a new look and feel.”

CBRE acted on behalf of Wolters Kluwer during this transaction. The lessor's advisor is Mayfield Asset and Property Management.
