HEMA and Etos open branches in the centre of Leidsche Rijn

HEMA and Etos have reached agreement with Leidsche Rijn Centrumplan, an alliance between a.s.r. Vastgoed Projecten and Vesteda Project Development. HEMA and Etos both lease shopping space (690 sq. m. and 230 sq. m. respectively) in Utrecht’s new city centre. The retailers’ new branches will be situated opposite one another, on the Luxembourgpromenade. The retail outlets are expected to be operational early in 2018.

The district of Leidsche Rijn is currently undergoing rapid development, and Leidsche Rijn Centrum is its new central area. Over 100 retail outlets are planned for this area, ranging from national and international chains to small local businesses. Other businesses that have opted to open a branch in Leidsche Rijn Centrum include H&M, MANGO, Esprit, OPEN32, Vapiano, VERO MODA, ONLY, Name it and Jack & Jones, together with a number of local retailers.

The deal was struck by CBRE which, together with Engelvast and a.s.r. Vastgoed Projecten, is managing the leasing of retail outlets in Leidsche Rijn Centrum.
