Regus leases 2,400 sq. m. in Sirius Building Leiden
Workspace solutions provider Regus has agreed a multi-year lease for more than 2,400 sq. m. of office space and 52 parking spaces in Sirius Building at Mendelweg 32, Leiden. This location is the first Regus branch in Leiden.
Sirius Building was built in 2010 and is part of Leiden Bio Science Park. The Park is also home to Leiden University Medical Center, various prominent companies in the biotechnology sector and the Naturalis Museum of Natural History. The building located next to Sirius Building is leased by Airbus.
“We are the first flexible workspace solutions provider to open a business centre at a Science Park. Cooperation with the City of Leiden and CBRE has been fantastic. We are thrilled to finally be able to add Leiden to our network”, explains Annelou de Groot, Development Director at Regus. Her colleague Peter Boef, Sales Director for Netherlands West, adds: “We’ve wanted to open a business centre in Leiden for a very long time. Demand for flexible workspaces is huge in this area in particular - in fact, we are expecting an occupancy rate of well over 60% when we open on 1 August. We are already taking a possible expansion in the short term into account.”
“The Regus formula makes it more appealing for start-ups to move to Leiden Bio Science Park and offers existing companies options for leasing flexible workspaces here. We are thrilled to welcome Regus to the largest life sciences and health cluster of the Netherlands in Leiden”, says Arnoud Nierop, account manager for Leiden Bio Science Park.
Currently, around 1,600 sq. m. of space is still available to let in Sirius Building.
Regus was advised in this process by JLL and Dentons, CBRE advised the incumbent tenant whose office space was taken over and the landlord, a foreign investor, was advised by 3stone Real Estate.
