Thomas Westerhof new head of CBRE’s residential team

Thomas Westerhof is the new head of the Residential Capital Markets team at CBRE. Thomas worked at CBRE in London for over five years, before moving to Amsterdam to take up the role of Head of Residential Investments for Continental Europe. He has been working at the headquarters in Amsterdam for the past two years and will now combine a sharper focus on the Dutch market with his broader European perspective.

Thomas will be in charge of the day-to-day management of the residential team, where new focal points are being established across the team. Laurens de Blij, Director Residential, will concentrate on portfolio sales while Lucas Franken, Associate Director Capital Markets, will shift his focus towards new-build developments.

Erik Langens, Executive Director Capital Markets: “In this largest and growing real estate sector, it is vital to have a good team of highly capable and experienced professionals ready for action. That’s something we can guarantee. Thomas’s leadership role will add yet another dimension, thanks in no small part to the international connections he brings, an increasingly important aspect of this market.”

Thomas Westerhof: “This new role is a tremendous step which enables me to build an essential bridge, not only between the Dutch housing market and international capital, but also between CBRE’s expertise and specialisms in Europe and the Netherlands. This will enable us to strengthen our position in the Netherlands and create new opportunities.”
