Laurens leases 3,500 sq. m. of office space in Eastpoint Rotterdam

As 2019 drew to a close, the Laurens Foundation (stichting Laurens) agreed a lease on 3,500 sq. m. of office space in the ‘Eastpoint’ building, located at G.H. Betzweg 1 in Rotterdam Alexander, next to the station of the same name. At this new location, Laurens will be merging seven offices and has agreed a long-term lease.

Laurens is one of the largest providers of elderly care in the Rotterdam region. At its new location, the foundation intends to merge all of its support departments in order to further improve the efficiency of collaboration. Eastpoint was chosen because it has the right look and feel for the organisation.

Eastpoint recently underwent a thorough refurbishment by its owner Bryant Park Netherlands Acquisition I B.V., resulting in a modern and attractive office building with the space required for a new and modern concept of working. Laurens aims to create a functional working environment that encourages collaboration and provides effective support to its care services. Excellent accessibility for all employees was a key factor in making the choice.

In Rotterdam and the surrounding area, thousands of elderly people rely on Laurens for their day-to-day care. More than 6,000 committed healthcare professionals work hard to provide this every day. Laurens helps people to live as independent and meaningful lives as possible when they become elderly, are recovering from illness, are living with a disability or are in the final phase of life. In their own ways, their own environment and as independently as possible.

Laurens cares for elderly from all cultures, ages and backgrounds. Its work puts the client and his or her capabilities first. Laurens asks how the client is used to living and what he or she considers most important in life. It then tailors the care accordingly. Laurens does not work alone, but with those closest to the client and other care providers, such as GPs, specialists or treatment providers.

In this transaction, the Laurens foundation was advised by CBRE via its local office in Rotterdam. BNP Paribas Real Estate Advisory Netherlands B.V. advised the landlord as asset manager and was also supported by BRiQ real estate as leasing agent.
