SODEXO agrees long-term lease in Eurogate III building in Rotterdam Alexander
Rubens Capital Partners has agreed a long-term lease for 2,230 sq. m. of office space with SODEXO Netherlands in EUROGATE III in Rotterdam Alexander. The building will be fully renovated and made sustainable prior to the start of the lease.
After the last tenant moved out, the need for a renovation and for the addition of facilities and provisions in the 8,500 sq. m. office building became apparent. Sodexo will be playing an important role in this with circular and innovative concepts in the area of Food & Facility Management. A Quality of Life Plaza will be created on the ground floor with a fully self-sufficient restaurant, a luxury coffee corner with Grab & Go and a new reception concept. We expect these facilities to be completed by summer. Sodexo will move its head offices to the floors from 1 April 2020.
The building at Watermanweg 30-42 currently has energy label A and will be in compliance with the sustainability requirements for the next ten years after the renovations are complete. After this transaction, 6,300 sq. m. with ample parking will still be available to rent. An average floor is approximately 1,100 sq. m.
Developments in Rotterdam Alexandrium are in full swing. The public transport hub at Rotterdam Alexandrium is undergoing major renovations and new parts are being added to the station. Investments are also being made in the public areas and new functions will be added to the area thanks to various transformations.
